Salary within the range: £25,000 – £30,000 (44 weeks per year, pro-rata)
Contract: Temporary (Initial 12 month contract with a view to permanent, dependent on funding)

Purpose of the post
Opening Doors are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Service Manager who can lead and manage a team of dedicated and highly skilled support assistants who enable those we support to continue living independently. The Service Manager will oversee and co-ordinate the provision, take a lead on promoting Opening Doors reputation in the surrounding area, oversee business development and drive growth of the organisation.
About the Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a creative and passionate professional to lead our organisation and help deliver our service development programme. The post-holder will be responsible for delivering the current service, coordinating placements and activities.
Accountable to the Board of Directors, the Service Manager will be responsible for the safe and secure delivery of support to service users; actively participate in the growth and development of the business, locally, through various marketing exercises and work within agreed budgets to ensure profitability of the business.
The Service Manager will have ultimate responsibility for all staff, ensuring appropriate delegation of staff care and support rotas; permanent schedules for the service provision provided; successful operation of quality control process and systems and work in partnership with stakeholders including the Local authority, adhering to governing regulations and legislation at all times.
The post holder will also need to ensure that all computerised and manual records are up to date; the complaints, Safeguarding of Vulnerable adults and other required procedures are implemented; liaison with service users/relatives and social workers; prepare management reports and ensure training needs of all staff are met effectively.

You will also need a sound understanding of good care principles and regulations, skills in assessment and care planning, the ability to build working relations with health and social care professionals, local authorities and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We would prefer experience of business development within a similar organisation, however if you have excellent communication skills, good planning and organisational skills, drive, budget management, negotiating skills and the ability to develop a team with effective delegation and motivation please get in touch.
