Due to expansion, Springwell Learning Community is seeking to appoint a PE teacher to work across our two academies, teaching PE throughout the key stages, including delivering GCSE/BTEC at Key stage 4. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering all aspects of the P.E. national curriculum and it would be an advantage to be able to teach trampolining. A passion for engaging pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, ASD and ADHD who may have barriers to physical activities is essential, along with the ability to create positive relationships and support a whole school drive for physical activity to benefit wellbeing. If you are already an SEN/SEMH specialist, or relish the opportunity of moving into special education and have experience of working with children and young people with SEN/SEMH, then this position is ideal. High levels of support and specialist training will be provided for a teacher with the values and ethos that will allow you to work as part of our superb team.

We are seeking:

  • An outstanding PE teacher who is able to work with vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) or an outstanding NQT passionate about working in an SEMH setting
  • An individual who is passionate about making a real difference to pupil’s life chances and supporting them in achieving their potential
  • A practitioner experienced in teaching a wide range of sporting activities.
  • Able to contribute to the wider school through extra-curricular activities and events
