Are you an exceptional, creative practitioner who really wants to make a real difference every day to the lives of the most vulnerable children?

Springwell Learning Community requires a full-time class teacher in Key Stage 2 to work within the Special Academy. A TLR2a is available where a candidate can demonstrate an ability to lead Literacy across our Primary provision. This position would suit a primary teacher, with the enthusiasm, skill, and resilience to work in our outstanding SEMH Primary provision. If you are already an SEN/SEMH specialist, or relish the opportunity of moving into special education and have experience of working with primary aged children with SEN/SEMH, then this position is ideal. High levels of support and specialist training will be provided for a teacher with the values and ethos that will allow you to work as part of our superb team.

As a National Teaching School, Springwell is at the cutting edge of educational development, involved in national research and development, teacher training, bespoke CPD and school-to-school support regionally and nationally.

We are seeking:

  • An exceptional primary teacher who is able to work with vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) or an outstanding NQT passionate about working in an SEMH setting
  • An individual who is passionate about making a real difference to pupil’s life chances and supporting them in achieving their potential
  • The ability to be creative and use imaginative flair to engage is essential, along with having unconditional positive regard, resilience, drive and high expectations to inspire pupils to achieve
  • Strength in highly effective literacy strategies to ensure progress in reading, writing and speaking and listening is desirable
