Are you an exceptional, creative practitioner who really wants to make a real difference every day to the lives of the most vulnerable children?

Due to expansion, Springwell Learning Community requires full time teachers to work in our Key Stage 3 Special and Alternative Academies. The positions would suit both primary and secondary practitioners with the enthusiasm, creativity and resilience to work in our outstanding Learning Community. Working to a primary model, the successful applicant would be required to lead a class, delivering Maths, English, PSHE, SEAL and other subjects through our Elements thematic curriculum to pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. If you are already a SEN/SEMH specialist or have experience of working effectively with vulnerable pupils with challenging behaviour in primary or secondary mainstream and relish the opportunity of moving into special education, then this position is ideal. High levels of support and specialist training will be provided for a teacher with the values and ethos that will allow you to work as part of our superb team. We are seeking:

  • Exceptional teachers who are able to work with vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) or an outstanding NQT passionate about working in an SEMH setting
  • Individuals who are passionate about making a real difference to student’s life chances and supporting them in achieving their potential
  • The ability to be creative and use imaginative flair to engage is essential, along with having unconditional positive regard, resilience, drive and high expectations to inspire students to achieve
