Department: Positive Regard (Trust Central Support Team) – Supporting our academies that are in Lincolnshire and NE Lincolnshire

Wellspring Academy Trust is a growing Multi-Academy Trust with twenty nine Academies across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the Humber.

The Trust is a not-for-profit charity that is committed to making a difference to the lives and life chances of the young people and communities we serve.  We do so through rigorous attention to detail and through innovating to improve.

Our schools are a healthy mix of mainstream, special and alternative academies that serve diverse communities.  In addition to directly managing and maintaining schools, the Trust also provides a range of extended services, including social care services for young adults, staff development and training services and outreach behaviour and care support services linked to our mission.

As the Trust continues to grow our roles offer pathways for ambitious and dynamic individuals who are determined to make a difference. We value our people; collegial working at all levels is central to our culture. High quality induction training and ongoing professional development support are guaranteed. There will be a broad range of opportunities for you to realise your professional vision and ambitions within the Trust.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

  • Are self-motivated, customer-focused and organised.
  • Enjoy working as part of an inclusive team.
  • Have a commitment to supporting the work of education leaders and who are passionate about learning.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counsellor to work at Wellspring schools across our eastern region of Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. The focus of the role will be to offer small groups and 1:1 sessions to children and young people although dependent on the needs of the individual schools this will also include a counselling offer for school staff. You will have the responsibility of answering a health and wellbeing helpline and providing virtual support services to schools.

You will establish close working relationships with the schools and embed the counselling offer within the school setting, working closely with the school leadership, safeguarding and pastoral teams.  You will have a good knowledge of the local CAMHS system and other mental health services for children and young people. You will provide self-help strategies to enable the children and young people to understand their mental health difficulty, monitoring and evaluating their progress throughout the intervention.

This is an exciting time to be part of a dynamic Multi Academy Trust.
