Low-cost food is available to residents on Grimsby’s West Marsh after a link up between Littlecoates
Primary Academy and a major charity.
Littlecoates Larder takes place every Friday during term time from 2.30pm until 3.30pm. Principal Neville Wilkinson said the venture was in conjunction with FareShare, the UK’s longest running food
“Typically, it will stock dry goods at lower prices than you pay at the supermarket,” he said. “We are planning to expand the range of foods on offer in the future, including fresh, chilled and frozen items. It is not-for-profit so that we pass all the savings on to residents.
The Larder can be used by anyone in the Littlecoates community, including those who do not have children at the school. We have given away free breakfast items for some time now to families in our school community. This link up with FareShare builds on that. We believe the venture is needed and will prove popular.”View all Latest News View all Vacancies
